Score 0-4 loss

 

We started the game well with a nice build up on the left side which lead to a shot at goal by Thomas. Unfortunately it was one of only few shots at goal we had all game.

 

Figtree was the better team for the rest of the first half and scored 4 good goals to lead us 4-0 at half time. Dale, Jack V. and Josiah tried hard in the defence while Joshua & Thomas tried hard in attack.

 

The second half was much better with much more effort from all the players. We kept Figtree scoreless in the second half and had an opportunity to score off a free kick which Jack V. took well but their BIG goalkeeper saved well.

 

Player of the match went to Josiah & Thomas this week.

 

This week we had a nervous first half start to the season with a much improved second half. Let us keep improving and the results will come. Good luck next week boys.

Score 1-6 loss

 

The game was very even in the first 12 minutes. It took Fernhill 13 minutes to score their first goal. We replied with a nice individual effort from Jayden, three minutes later which nearly lead to a goal.

 

Our first goal of the season came from Jayden on the 20 minute mark. It was set up by an individual effort & determination on the left by Matthew with his cross he found Jayden in the penalty box , Jayden finish the move with a well taken shot straight in the middle of the net. (GOAL).

 

Fernhill replied with a goal one minute later to lead us at half time 2-1. Dylan R, Matthew, Joshua and Josiah tried hard all game.

 

The second half was a repeat of last week first half with the same score line.

 

Player of the match went to Dylan Roe this week. Dylan was under constant pressure mainly during the second half and was kept very busy.

 

This week we had a competitive first half but did not carried it on the second half. We need MORE DETERMINATION & EFFORT on the field boys for the full 50 minutes. Let us keep improving and the results will come. Good luck next week boys.
